Tulum - México

Tulum is a well known chill and party city south of Cancun. It’s popular for raves on roof top bars over the rain forest or parties at the beach. We attended non of those as that’s not our focus while traveling. You can stay in fancy resorts at the beach front or in rain forest hotels. We chose the later as it was a way cheaper option. Out hotel had a rooftop pool with a view over the rainforest. Unfortunatelly we got a full day of strong rain when we got there, so we did not have much time to explore. But the time for a little more sleep in the comfortable bed was nice as well. Besides that we relaxed by the pool as soon as the rain stopped in the evening and visited the ruins by the beach but apart that we mostly just used it as a short stop in between driving up north from Bacalar.

The second day was super hot and without any rain so we got some sweaty explorations of the Ruins of Tulum, another archeological side from Mayan times.

Find the iguana or how ever those reptiles are called 🦎

This one you can’t oversee. I really like how nature doesn’t yield from humans in those ancient places.

We weren’t the only tourists though 😉 I moslty try to cut them off the pictures 😄

I always enjoy when I find some great art or graffiti!

The great view from our Hotel Naala Tulum. It was nice to relax in this pool!
