Toronto - Canada

At first I wasn’t a fan of this huge city. To crowded, dirty, chaotic and I think the contrast to the Algonquin Provincial Park enhanced that feeling even more. But after exploring the waterfront and Toronto at night I started to really like and enjoy this city. I wouldn’t want to live here as I left Berlin behind, I feel like I need some quieter cities right now. But I can see why lots of people enjoy it 😉

Downtown

Definetly more my thing at night because of all the beautiful lights. Since the city center is build high it is not as widely spread so you can walk it all easily in one day.

Nathan Phillips Square, so impressive at night.

Eaton Centre, a huge shopping mall.

Yonge-Dundas Square, part of the enterntainment area.

Queen's park in front of the parliament.

Freshman at the Toronto University dancing and performing at diverse challenges for their very first day at University.

Kensington Market

Perfect for second hand and alternative shopping or like I did, to take photos of these cute buildings :) Btw. China Town is just around the corner to grab some great food.

Waterfront

The big city skyline at the one side and the Lake Ontario at the other side. It feels like being on vacation and since I went during the week I was almost by myself and really enjoyed. I walked almost all the water front split in two days because I liked it that much.

Sunnyside beach.

Sunnyside boardwalk.

Monarch butterflies gathering together at the beach for their flight down to south America.

Trillium park.

Even more monarchs. Such beautiful butterlies.

Nera the Ireland park.

Waterfront with a view.

Toronto music park with beautiful flowers, installations and details.

Art near the ferry deck.

Destillery historic district with lots of art and installations.

Flowery peace ;)

Sunset at Jennifer Kateryna Koval's'kyj Park.

My tripod and my Sony Alpha 6000 are always with me while travelling. I learn so much and always try to advance my photography skills. There is still so much to gain!

What a beautiful skyline!

Toronto Islands

Water, beach, sun, not too many people, cute houses, great view across the lake as well as the city. I was in heaven. For sunset I even met some nice guys working at a surf, kayak and canoe place and they invited me to join them for burgers on a bonfire. We talked in a mix of English, German and Spanish and I had lots of fun. It was an awesome night with the skyline as a background. This is what I like about exploring, you’ll never know who you’ll bump into and should be spontaneous to enjoy such opportunities.

Wards Island Beach, almost for myself...

... and a bunch of birds.

One of the diverse cute houses, I would love to have one of them, even though I'm not a house kind of person XD

Lake Ontario.

Centre Island Pier.

Sunset with the guys.

Squirrels all over

A lady in the high park saw that I was taking photos and gave me a hand full of peanuts and told me "If you want to photograph squirrels just take these and wait" - She was right XD Click on the pictures to enlarge:

Graffiti

Not just in the so called Graffiti Street but all over the city you'll find lots of street art. You just have to open your eyes and pay attention :) Click on the pictures to enlarge:
