Campbell River - Canada

We spend two days in Campbell River on our way to two a few beautiful natural sights. It is a relaxed town but mostly we visited natural sights nearby. It is not fully on the regular round trip in the south of Vancouver Island but for us the trip was 100% worth it.

On the above Discovery Fishing Pier we had a delicious lunch from Dick’s Fish & Chips.

This beautiful graffiti was also in the middle of the city and as you might have noticed before, I have a thing for artsy graffiti, especially if it has such a lovely ocean motive like here.

Elk Falls Provincial Park

Not far from the city the Elk Falls Provincial Park is easy to hike and apart from the waterfall and suspension bridge it has a beautiful river to walk or relax by.

The Elk Falls Suspension Bridge has a great view on the waterfall and river. Sadly my legs didn’t let me walk on it… Fear of hights is no fun sometimes…

When we visitied the river was full of salmon on their way up the river to lay their eggs. In one part there was a fisherman standing in the middle of the river fishing. If he didn’t have the greatest catch ever, I really don’t know what he might have done wrong.

Myra Falls

The Myra Falls consist of diverse fall levels where you can walk by or even climb up and down. We were alone most of the time. We even sat there a while watching the falls and just relaxed by the clearest water ever on a beautiful sunny day.
